It was a sunny afternoon, and LaLa and BiBi were playing in the living room, building the tallest pillow fort in the world—or at least, that’s what they called it. Pillows were stacked high, blankets draped over chairs, and stuffed animals guarded every corner.
“LaLa, hand me the last pillow!” BiBi called from inside the fort.
LaLa crawled in with a big grin. “Here comes the final piece of the masterpiece!”
As she reached up to place the pillow on top, it happened.
Pffffttt.
A loud, unexpected sound echoed through the tiny space.
BiBi froze.
LaLa’s eyes went wide.
Silence.
Then BiBi slowly turned to her. “Was that… what I think it was?”
LaLa’s cheeks turned as red as a tomato. “Um… surprise?” she said, trying to stifle a giggle.
BiBi stared at her for a moment, completely speechless. Then he burst into uncontrollable laughter, rolling onto the blanket floor. “That was the loudest fart I’ve ever heard in my life!”
LaLa covered her face in embarrassment, then peeked through her fingers. “It just slipped out! I was stretching!”
“I thought the fort was collapsing!” BiBi gasped between laughs. “That fart shook the whole structure!”
LaLa couldn’t help it anymore. She joined in the laughter, and soon both of them were rolling around, giggling so hard their tummies hurt.
After the laughter calmed, BiBi wiped his eyes. “Next time, maybe we should build a window in this thing.”
“Agreed,” LaLa said, fanning the air. “For emergencies like that.”
They both giggled again and opened one side of the fort for “ventilation.” From that day on, they made it a rule: always leave a fart escape route.
And every time they built a new fort, BiBi would smirk and say, “Just in case LaLa strikes again.”
LaLa would laugh and say, “No promises!”
