One sunny afternoon, Lala the little bunny woke up full of energy and excitement. Today was a perfect day to play outside! She grabbed her favorite red ball and hopped out the door, heading straight to the nearby park.
As Lala entered the park, she saw green grass stretching wide, birds chirping cheerfully, and colorful flowers swaying in the breeze. The playground looked like so much fun! There were swings, a slide, and even a sandbox. Lala’s nose twitched with joy.
First, she bounced the ball around by herself, but soon she heard laughter coming from the sandbox. Curious, Lala hopped over and saw a squirrel, a turtle, and a little hedgehog building a sandcastle together.
“Hi!” Lala said with a big smile. “Can I play too?”
“Of course!” said the squirrel, who introduced herself as Squeaky. “We’d love for you to join us.”
“I’m Timmy,” said the turtle, slowly scooping sand into a bucket.
“And I’m Poppy,” said the hedgehog, patting down the top of the castle.
Lala was so happy to be welcomed. She carefully added a moat around the castle and used twigs and leaves to make decorations. The four new friends laughed and worked together, proud of their beautiful creation.
After the sandbox, they all went to the swings and took turns pushing each other. Then they raced down the slide, giggling all the way. Lala even shared her red ball, and they played a fun game of catch in the open field.
As the sun began to set, Lala felt warm and grateful inside. She had come to the park to play but found something even better—new friends who liked her just the way she was.
“I hope we can play again tomorrow!” Lala said as they all waved goodbye.
“Definitely!” shouted Squeaky, Timmy, and Poppy together.
Lala hopped home, her heart full of joy. What a wonderful day it had been!
