Lyly… Stop it! Monkey Lyly steals Tommy’s cat food to feed the fish and the end of her mischief…

Monkey Lyly was full of energy—and mischief. She lived with her best friend, a kind little boy named Tommy, who also had a sleepy orange cat named Muffin and a pond full of colorful fish.

Every morning, Tommy would feed Muffin a bowl of crunchy cat food and toss a few flakes into the pond for the fish. But one day, Lyly had a very silly idea.

As Tommy left the kitchen, Lyly tiptoed in, grabbed the cat food bag, and whispered, “Muffin eats too much anyway… maybe the fish want to try something new!

She giggled as she sneaked outside and began tossing handfuls of cat food into the pond. The fish swam up, sniffed it, then swam away in confusion. Lyly frowned.

“Maybe they need more,” she said, and dumped in even more food.

Tommy returned moments later and gasped. “Lyly! What are you doing?”

Lyly froze. Her hands were covered in cat food crumbs. “Uh… feeding the fish?” she said innocently.

“Lyly… stop it! That’s Muffin’s food!” Tommy said, running over. “Fish can’t eat that! It’ll make them sick!”

Just then, Muffin wandered over, meowed sadly, and looked at her empty food bowl. The pond, meanwhile, had become a soggy mess of floating cat kibble.

Lyly’s ears drooped. “I’m sorry, Tommy. I thought I was helping.”

Tommy sighed but saw how sorry she looked. “I know you meant well, Lyly. But you have to ask before taking something that’s not yours.”

Lyly nodded. “I promise. No more stealing. No more fish-feeding experiments.”

Together, they cleaned the pond and gave Muffin a fresh bowl of food. Tommy even let Lyly sprinkle the right flakes into the water—this time, the fish actually ate them.

From that day on, Lyly used her clever ideas for good, not mischief. And if she ever got curious again, she remembered to ask first.

And Muffin? He never let his food out of sight again.
