Monkey Lyly Returns to the Forest and Gets Lost — and the Luck That Follows…

Monkey Lyly had always been curious about the forest. One sunny afternoon, while her mother was busy cleaning, Lyly saw the gate slightly open. Her little heart raced with excitement. “Just for a little while,” she thought. Without telling anyone, she slipped out and tiptoed her way back into the forest she hadn’t visited since she was very small.

The trees swayed gently, birds chirped above, and the earthy scent of nature filled the air. Lyly wandered deeper, fascinated by colorful insects and shiny leaves. But soon, the excitement faded. Everything began to look the same. The path behind her had vanished. She turned in circles, calling softly for her mother — but only the wind answered.

Fear crept into Lyly’s chest. Her eyes welled with tears. The forest, once magical, now seemed endless and frightening. She curled up under a tree, unsure of where to go.

But then, luck arrived in the most unexpected form. A friendly squirrel named Sico hopped down from a tree and saw the frightened monkey. “You look lost,” Sico said gently. Lyly nodded, wiping her eyes. Sico offered her a few berries and promised to help.

With Sico’s guidance, Lyly began to recognize small signs — a rock shaped like a turtle, a tree with three trunks — landmarks her mother had once shown her. As they journeyed, other animals joined in to help. A parrot flew above to look out for the way, and a turtle showed her where the cool stream ran near her home.

Finally, as the sun began to set, Lyly saw the outline of her house through the trees. Her mother rushed out, tears of relief streaming down her face as she scooped Lyly into her arms.

From that day forward, Lyly understood how lucky she was — not just to be found, but to discover the kindness of friends in the wild. And most of all, she promised never to wander off alone again
