Early in the morning, Bibi could hardly contain her excitement. Today was a special day—she was going to the farm to help Uncle Phong harvest pumpkins for cooking. With the sun just beginning to rise, the air was cool and fresh, and Bibi’s eyes sparkled with curiosity as she followed Uncle Phong down the familiar dirt path toward the pumpkin field.
The farm was alive with color and sound. Rows of bright orange pumpkins rested on the ground, hidden among wide green leaves and twisting vines. Bibi stopped in her tracks, amazed by how big some of them were. She reached out carefully, tapping one pumpkin as if checking whether it was real. Uncle Phong laughed and showed her how to gently lift the pumpkin without damaging the vine.
Soon, Bibi was hard at work. She crouched beside Uncle Phong, holding the pumpkin steady while he cut the thick stem. Each successful harvest made her clap happily. Some pumpkins were small and round, perfect for soup, while others were heavy and required both of them to lift together. Bibi took her role very seriously, wiping dirt from the pumpkins and lining them up neatly in a basket.
As they worked, Uncle Phong explained how pumpkins grow and why the leaves protect them from the sun. Bibi listened closely, nodding as if she were learning a very important secret. Every now and then, she would pause to smell the soil or watch insects crawling between the vines, fascinated by the little details of farm life.
After the baskets were full, they took a short break under a shady tree. Bibi sipped water and proudly looked at their harvest. Her clothes were a little dusty, and her hands were dirty, but her smile was brighter than ever. She felt happy knowing she had helped gather food for the family.
Back at home, the pumpkins would soon be turned into warm, delicious dishes. For Bibi, the day was more than just helping in the field—it was about learning, sharing, and creating memories with Uncle Phong that she would cherish for a long time. 🎃🌱
