Cubis and Luk Act Upset When Dad Goes for Coffee Without Them ☕😄

The morning started like any other, calm and ordinary, until Cubis and Luk noticed something suspicious. Dad was putting on his shoes. Not the work shoes. Not the market shoes. These were the coffee shoes. The moment the door creaked open and Dad grabbed his keys, two pairs of eyes locked onto him in shock.

Coffee… without them?

Cubis was the first to react. He puffed up his chest and crossed his tiny arms, letting out a dramatic huff. Luk followed closely, flopping onto the floor with an exaggerated sigh, as if the world had just ended. Their expressions said it all: betrayal. Absolute betrayal. How could Dad even think of going for coffee alone?

Dad tried to sneak out quietly, but it was already too late. Cubis stomped after him, making sure every step was loud enough to express his disappointment. Luk trailed behind, casting sad glances and shaking his head like a disappointed elder. Every few seconds, Luk peeked toward the door, silently hoping Dad would change his mind.

When the door finally closed, Cubis and Luk sat side by side, arms folded, faces full of frustration. They refused to play. They refused to smile. Even their favorite snacks failed to cheer them up. The house felt strangely quiet without Dad—and without the smell of coffee they loved so much.

Minutes later, just as Cubis was about to forgive Dad in his heart, the door opened again.

Dad returned, holding warm cups and wearing a guilty grin. Instantly, the mood changed. Cubis sprang up, excitement bursting through his earlier anger. Luk rushed over, sniffing the air and chirping happily. All the upset feelings vanished like steam from a hot cup of coffee.

Dad laughed and gently explained that the café was crowded and not safe for them to come along this time. He promised to bring them next time and even let them taste the foam. Cubis nodded seriously, as if accepting a formal apology. Luk leaned in for a hug, already forgiving everything.

In the end, Cubis and Luk learned something important: being left behind can feel upsetting, but coming back together is what truly matters. And next time Dad reaches for his coffee shoes, they’ll be ready—no hiding, no pouting, just pure excitement. ☕😊
