Lyly… Hurry Up! Monkey Lyly Hurriedly Closed the Door When She Discovered a Big Fire

It was a peaceful afternoon, and little Monkey Lyly was playing in the living room, happily arranging her toy blocks and humming a tune. The house was calm, with the smell of lunch still lingering in the air. Everything seemed normal—until Lyly noticed something strange through the slightly opened kitchen door.

A strange crackling sound caught her attention, followed by an unusual orange glow. Curious, she tiptoed over and peeked inside. Her eyes widened in shock—there were flames coming from the stove! A towel left too close to the burner had caught fire, and the flames were quickly growing.

“Fire!” Lyly gasped. Her tiny heart began to pound, but she remembered what her mom had taught her during safety lessons. “Stay calm and act fast,” her mother always said. Without hesitation, Lyly rushed to close the kitchen door to stop the smoke from spreading. “Lyly… hurry up!” she told herself aloud as she reached up and turned the lock.

Then, she darted toward the front door where her mother had just stepped outside to check the mailbox. “Mom! Mom!” Lyly screamed, flinging open the door, her little hands waving. “Fire in the kitchen! Come quick!”

Her mom turned, alarmed, and rushed back inside. Thanks to Lyly’s quick thinking, the fire had not spread too far. Mom grabbed the fire extinguisher, doused the flames, and then hugged Lyly tightly.

“You were so brave, Lyly,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You remembered exactly what to do.”

Lyly nodded, still trembling a bit but proud. “I closed the door like you said, Mommy. I was scared, but I didn’t want our house to burn.”

That day, Lyly was more than just a curious little monkey—she was a little hero. Her quick reaction and courage helped prevent something dangerous, reminding everyone how even the smallest can do big things when they stay calm and think smart.
