Diem Wants to Hug Mom Because She Looks So Pitiful When She Is Sick

Diem was usually a cheerful and playful little girl, always running around with a big smile on her face. But today, things felt different. The house was quieter than usual, and the warmth she always felt seemed to be missing. The reason? Her mother was sick.

From the moment Diem woke up, she noticed that her mother wasn’t moving around like she usually did. Instead of greeting her with a bright smile and preparing breakfast, her mother was lying in bed, looking pale and weak. Her eyes were tired, and even her voice sounded soft and exhausted.

Diem’s heart ached. She had never seen her mother like this before. She didn’t like seeing her mom look so pitiful, and she didn’t know what to do to make her feel better. All she knew was that she wanted to do something—anything—to help.

Slowly, she walked over to her mother’s bedside and gently touched her hand. “Mom, are you okay?” she asked softly, her eyes filled with concern.

Her mother gave her a weak smile and patted her head. “I’m okay, sweetie. Just a little tired.”

But Diem didn’t feel reassured. She bit her lip, thinking hard. Then, without saying a word, she climbed into bed next to her mother and wrapped her little arms around her. She hugged her tightly, resting her head against her mother’s shoulder.

“I’ll stay here with you,” she whispered. “I’ll hug you until you feel better.”

Her mother chuckled softly, touched by her daughter’s love. She stroked Diem’s hair and whispered, “Thank you, my sweet girl. Your hug makes me feel so much better already.”

Diem stayed by her mother’s side all day, bringing her water, tucking the blanket around her, and holding her hand whenever she looked too tired. To her, the best medicine wasn’t just rest—it was love. And as long as her mother needed her, Diem would be right there, hugging her until she was well again.
