Kaka Monkey Pretends to Have a Sore Hand to Get Mother’s Attention
It was a quiet morning at home, and little Monkey Kaka was feeling a bit left out. His mother was busy sweeping the floor, folding laundry, and organizing the kitchen. She hadn’t had a moment to stop and cuddle Kaka like she usually did, and he missed the warmth of her hugs and the sound of her gentle voice.
With a mischievous twinkle in his eye, Kaka came up with an idea — a little dramatic plan to get mom’s attention. He sat down in the middle of the room, clutched his tiny hand, and let out a soft “Owwww…” He looked up at his mom with big, teary eyes and whimpered, “Mama, my hand… it hurts.”
His mother immediately dropped what she was doing and rushed over to him. “Oh no, baby! What happened?” she asked, clearly worried. She gently held his hand and inspected it. There were no scratches, no swelling — not even a speck of dust. She tilted her head, puzzled.
But Kaka was in full character now, putting on the most pitiful expression he could. “I think… it’s broken,” he said dramatically, letting out a theatrical sigh.
Mom couldn’t help but smile, realizing her clever little monkey was pretending. She played along, planting a big kiss on his “injured” hand. “Don’t worry, Doctor Mom is here to help!” she said, wrapping his hand in a soft cloth like a bandage and giving him the warmest hug.
Kaka beamed with satisfaction. That was exactly what he wanted — a moment of pure love and attention from his favorite person.
Later, as they cuddled on the couch, Mom whispered, “You know, Kaka, you don’t need to pretend to be hurt. If you ever need a hug, just say so.”
Kaka nodded, his little trick successful but his heart full. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of love — and a tiny bit of monkey mischief.
