Mystery of Dad’s departure! CUTIS & baby monkey confusedly search for cause 😯

Morning in the house was usually full of laughter, noise, and CUTIS’s nonstop mischief. But today, something felt strange. Baby monkey Lala woke up first and immediately noticed something unusual—Dad was gone. His shoes were missing, his favorite hat wasn’t on the hook, and the front door had been left slightly open.

Lala blinked her sleepy eyes and hurried to find CUTIS, who was munching on a leftover piece of fruit. “Oooh?” Lala squeaked, pointing at the open door. CUTIS froze mid-bite, his little eyebrows lifting in confusion. Dad never left without saying goodbye.

The two baby monkeys looked around the room, searching for clues. CUTIS sniffed Dad’s chair, then the hat rack, then circled around the door dramatically like a tiny detective. Lala followed behind him, her steps quick and worried.

They checked the kitchen—no Dad.
They checked the yard—still no Dad.
They even peeked behind the bushes where Dad sometimes hid snacks, but nothing.

Finally, CUTIS noticed something strange near the tool shed: small footprints in the dirt. He pointed excitedly, waving his little arms. Lala leaned down to inspect them. They definitely looked like Dad’s! The two exchanged shocked expressions. Why would Dad go out so early? And without telling them?

Determined to solve the mystery, they followed the footprints down the path. CUTIS walked proudly in front, acting like a brave leader, while Lala clung to his tail for support. After a few minutes of searching, they suddenly heard a familiar voice.

Dad was behind the chicken coop, fixing a broken wooden fence. His sleeves were rolled up, tools scattered around him. He looked up in surprise as the baby monkeys rushed toward him.

“Ah! You two detectives found me,” Dad laughed. “The fence broke last night. I came early to fix it before the animals got out.”

CUTIS squeaked loudly, relieved but slightly annoyed that Dad hadn’t told them. Lala hugged Dad’s leg tightly.

Dad picked them up and smiled. “Next time, I’ll let my little helpers know before I disappear.”

Mystery solved—and the two baby detectives were finally at peace.
