What is that? I don’t like it! Monkey Lyly Tries Crab for the First Time

It was a sunny afternoon, and Monkey Lyly was in a cheerful mood as she sat at the family lunch table with her mom. Today’s meal was a bit different from usual — there was something new on the plate that caught Lyly’s attention right away. It was red, had claws, and looked very unfamiliar. Her mom smiled and said, “Lyly, today you’ll try crab for the first time!”

Lyly’s eyes widened with curiosity. She leaned forward and gave the crab a sniff. Then she poked at it with her tiny fingers, unsure whether it was food or some strange toy. “What is that?” she asked with a puzzled look. “It looks like a robot!”

Her mom gently broke off a piece of the crab meat and offered it to Lyly. “Just one bite. You might like it!” she encouraged.

Lyly hesitated, stared at the piece in her hand, then slowly brought it to her mouth. The moment it touched her tongue, her eyes squinted and her face scrunched up in confusion. She gave a tiny chew before sticking her tongue out and dramatically wiping her mouth.

“Eww! I don’t like it!” she exclaimed, shaking her head with all the seriousness in the world. Her mom chuckled softly and handed her a glass of water.

Despite not liking the crab, Lyly’s reaction was so expressive and funny that her whole family burst out laughing. Her antics didn’t stop there — she picked up one of the crab legs and pretended it was a telephone, holding it to her ear and saying, “Hello? This is Lyly. No more crab, please!”

While the crab wasn’t a hit with Lyly’s taste buds, the memory of her hilarious first taste became a family favorite. It was a simple lunch turned into a joyful moment filled with laughter, reminding everyone that sometimes, trying something new leads to the best stories — even if it doesn’t taste quite right!
