Cubis the mischievous little monkey was up to something again! Everyone in the family knows that when Cubis goes quiet, it usually means he’s planning a sneaky adventure. This time, it was all about his favorite activity—swimming! But there was just one small problem: Dad had said no swimming today because the weather was a bit chilly. Of course, that only made Cubis want it even more!
Early that morning, while Dad was busy cleaning up the yard, Cubis tiptoed around with his usual cheeky grin. He peeked out from behind the tree, making sure Dad wasn’t looking. Then, quick as lightning, he grabbed his little towel and scampered off toward the pool. His tiny feet made soft tapping sounds as he ran, trying his best not to giggle from excitement.
When he reached the pool, Cubis looked around one last time—no Dad in sight! With a joyful squeal, he jumped right in. Splash! Water went everywhere as Cubis kicked and twirled, splashing around like the happiest little swimmer in the world. He floated on his back, blew bubbles, and even tried to “dive” for his toy banana at the bottom.
Meanwhile, Dad realized the backyard had gone suspiciously quiet. “Cubis? Where are you?” he called. No answer. But the faint sound of giggles gave him a clue. When Dad walked over to the pool, he couldn’t help but laugh—there was Cubis, hiding behind a pool float, pretending he wasn’t there!
“Cubis,” Dad said, trying to sound serious, “didn’t we say no swimming today?” The little monkey peeked out with his big round eyes, dripping wet, and gave his best innocent smile. It was impossible to stay mad at him. Dad sighed, handed him a towel, and said, “Alright, one last splash, then inside!”
